GATHERINGS & EVENTS

Are you interested in discovering how we nurture and grow our flowers? Maybe you're looking for a chance to immerse yourself in nature and get your hands dirty. Or perhaps you've been following our journey and would enjoy becoming part of our story. Teaching is something I truly enjoy, as it allows me to engage with our community by sharing knowledge and giving back through education—while also supporting the work we do on the farm. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a curious newcomer, there are many ways to join us, learn, and contribute to the vibrant life of our flower farm.

How does this program work?

In exchange for farm work, we will provide you with a $20 Bouquet Bucks ticket, redeemable for a bouquet at any time during the season. Light refreshments will be available.

What kind of work will you be doing?

Farming is fun when you have other like-minded flower enthusiasts working alongside you. Your farm tasks will vary from planting seedlings, composting, weeding, removing old crops, and sowing seeds.

When is it?
Scheduled Thursdays 1- 4pm & Fridays 8 - 1pm in April - Oct
(I’ll only be adding days 2 months at a time)

What should you bring or wear?

Boots or any closed toe shoes, water bottle, a hat (if sunny), garden gloves, and dress appropriately.

What if it’s raining or you can’t make it?

Please send us a text if you can’t attend so we can adjust our workload. If the forecast is for rain all day it will be canceled via text, however if it’s just occasional showers we will proceed with our workday.

Please note:

You must be able to get up and down from the ground and have no other injuries. I want to make sure no one gets hurt because of a previous injury you have. There is uneven ground in some areas, so be mindful of that and what you can handle. Must be 18 and no children or pets allowed either. If you have any questions, please email me at info@slabtownpetalpickers.com.
